Privacy Policy

This policy describes how You Had Me At I Do Studio handles account, wedding, and usage data. It is written for wedding professionals who store couple, vow, and day-of information in a studio workspace. It is not a substitute for advice from your attorney.

1. Who we are

You Had Me At I Do ("we," "us") operates You Had Me At I Do Studio at youhadmeatido.app and studio.youhadmeatido.app. This policy covers the marketing site, studio workspaces, couple and vendor portals, and related services.

2. Account and studio data we store

When you create a studio we store the account information you provide — typically name, email, and studio settings such as company name, branding, rate card, contract templates, and inquiry-form configuration.

Each wedding is a wedding record. Free lead tracking stores couple contact details, ceremony and rehearsal locations and times, pipeline status, scheduled follow-up emails, and The Story of You fields the couple chooses to share.

When you activate the wedding on a wedding, the wedding record can also hold contracts and e-signatures, questionnaires, ceremony scripts and reusable elements, procession and seating plans, VIP and vendor contacts, Internal Notes, checklists, messages, guest/VIP/vendor portal content, and — if you use DJ Suite — music plans and guest song requests.

Vow Workshop stores each partner's vow drafts in that partner's private session until they are ready to share with you as the officiant. Partners do not see each other's words; they can see length and spoken-time comparison.

3. Payments

Credit purchases for full wedding workspace and couple payments you collect through Studio are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. We store enough ledger information to show balances, receipts, and activation status in your studio.

If you record offline payments (check, Venmo, cash), those notes live on the wedding ledger you enter.

4. Usage data

We collect usage data needed to operate and secure the Service — for example sign-in events, error logs, and which studio features were used. We do not sell personal information.

5. Optional AI features

AI is optional. You can run every wedding without it. When you use it, you stay the author of the ceremony.

Magic Import: you paste or upload a ceremony draft, reusable element, or messy VIP list. Suggested structure is shown for you to review. Nothing becomes wedding data until you confirm.

Vow help: a partner may ask to polish, shorten, lengthen, or change the tone of their own vows. That request stays in their private vow space. It does not reveal the vows to their partner, and it does not replace their voice with a generated ceremony.

Connected ChatGPT or Claude: if you connect an assistant under Studio Settings → AI Assistant, that assistant can read staff-visible Studio data through read-only tools (schedule, wedding overview, ceremony logistics, ceremony script, VIP list, couple portal tasks, Internal Notes, and people search). It cannot sign a contract, take a payment, edit the ceremony script, or publish anything to a portal.

Optional AI features send the text you submit — or the live Studio data you authorize a connected assistant to read — to the AI provider for that feature. We do not use those features to ghostwrite a ceremony in a voice that is not yours.

6. What you and your couples still author

You remain responsible for ceremony scripts, officiant cues, contracts with your clients, Internal Notes, and day-of decisions. Couples remain responsible for their vows. Studio stores and displays that work; it does not become the officiant.

If you collect personal information from couples, vendors, or guests through the Service, you are responsible for providing appropriate notices and obtaining required consents under applicable privacy laws.

7. Sharing

We share data with subprocessors who help us run the Service (for example hosting, email delivery, and Stripe for payments). We do not sell personal information.

You control what couples, guests, VIPs, and vendors see through portal settings. Emergency backup download or email is something you initiate when you need to hand a wedding to a backup officiant.

Staff MCP tokens (for Cursor or Claude Desktop) are per-employee and revocable. Treat them like passwords. See also our Terms of Service (https://youhadmeatido.app/terms/).

8. Retention and requests

We retain studio and wedding data while your account is active so you can run booked ceremonies and look up past weddings. You may ask us to correct or delete account data by emailing the address below. Some records may be kept where we are required to for security, billing, or law.
