What this does

You can connect an AI app you already use — ChatGPT, Claude, Google Gemini, or Cursor — to your You Had Me At I Do Studio. Once connected, you can ask plain-English questions about your real weddings: who still owes you a checklist item, what is on your calendar, venue times, and more. You do not have to copy information from Studio into the chat.

Today, AI can read your Studio information to help you plan and write. It cannot sign contracts, take payments, or edit your ceremony script for you.

Part 1 — In Studio

  1. Log in to your Studio Portal. Open Studio
  2. In the left menu, open Studio Setup → Integrations (or Business Configuration → Connectors in agency mode).
  3. For ChatGPT, copy the ChatGPT MCP URL shown there and choose OAuth during setup. You do not need a connection key.
  4. For Claude Desktop, Cursor, or another local bridge client, click Create connection key and save it somewhere safe. Treat it like a password.

If you ever think someone else saw a connection key, go back to Integrations and click Disconnect AI apps, then create a new key. ChatGPT OAuth access can be disconnected from ChatGPT’s connector/app settings.

Part 2 — ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT in your browser or app.
  2. Open Settings, then look for Connectors, Apps, or Integrations (the name depends on your plan).
  3. Add a custom connector or MCP server.
  4. When asked for a server URL, paste the ChatGPT MCP URL shown in Studio. It may look like: https://studio.youhadmeatido.app/mcp
  5. When asked how to sign in, choose OAuth. Do not choose Bearer token/API key for ChatGPT.
  6. ChatGPT will send you to Studio to sign in and approve read-only access.
  7. Start a new chat and try: “What needs my attention this week?”

ChatGPT changes its menus from time to time. If you cannot find Apps or Connectors, check whether your plan supports custom connectors.

Part 2 — Claude (Desktop app)

  1. Install Claude Desktop from claude.ai/download if needed.
  2. Finish Part 1 in Studio and copy your connection key.
  3. In Claude Desktop: Settings → Developer → Edit Config.
  4. Add a server entry for You Had Me At I Do (see the Integrations page in Studio for a copy-paste example, or email support for help).
  5. Paste your connection key where the instructions say YHMAID_STAFF_TOKEN.
  6. Restart Claude Desktop. You should see tools available in chat.

Part 2 — Google Gemini

  1. Finish Part 1 in Studio and copy your connection key.
  2. Open Gemini (gemini.google.com) or the Gemini mobile app.
  3. Look in Settings or Extensions for a way to add a custom tool, connector, or API connection.
  4. Use this server address: https://studio.youhadmeatido.app/wp-json/yhmaid/v1/studio/mcp
  5. Paste your connection key as the Bearer token.

Gemini’s connector options vary by account and region. If you do not see a way to add tools yet, ChatGPT or Claude Desktop are fully supported today.

Part 2 — Cursor

  1. Finish Part 1 in Studio and copy your connection key.
  2. In Cursor, open Settings → MCP (or edit your mcp.json configuration file).
  3. Add the yhmaid-studio server with your connection key and Studio API URL (shown on the Integrations page in Studio).
  4. Restart Cursor. In Agent chat, ask about your weddings and schedule.

Questions you can ask

  • “What needs my attention this week?”
  • “Which couples have overdue portal tasks?”
  • “What’s on my calendar next month?”
  • “Summarize the Johnson wedding — date, venue, contract status.”
  • “Draft a friendly email reminding them about their questionnaire.”
