How to connect ChatGPT or Claude

Connect once. After that, ask plain-English questions about your real weddings — who still owes a checklist item, what is on your calendar, venue times — without copying from Studio into the chat.

1. Copy your Studio link

  1. Log in to Studio. Open Studio
  2. Open Studio Settings → AI Assistant.
  3. Copy the Studio link shown under AI Assistant. Use that copy — it is specific to your studio.

ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT. Custom connectors need Plus, Pro, Team, or Enterprise — not the free plan.
  2. Go to Settings, then Apps or Connectors.
  3. Add a custom connector.
  4. Paste your Studio link and choose OAuth / Sign in. Do not paste a connection key.
  5. Sign in to Studio when prompted and click Allow.
  6. Start a new chat and try: “What needs my attention this week?”

ChatGPT moves this menu around. If you do not see Apps or Connectors, your plan may not include custom connectors yet.

Claude

  1. Open Claude on the web (claude.ai) or in the Claude Desktop app.
  2. Go to Settings → Connectors.
  3. Add a custom connector and paste the same Studio link.
  4. Sign in through Studio and click Allow.
  5. Ask about your schedule or couple checklists in a new chat.

You do not install anything on your computer, and you do not need a connection key.

  • “Draft a friendly email reminding them about their questionnaire.”
Using Cursor, or an older local tool

Cursor can use the same Studio link as ChatGPT and Claude (Settings → MCP). Most officiants do not need this.

A connection key is only for older local apps that cannot sign in. Create one under Studio Settings → AI Assistant → Advanced. Treat it like a password. If it leaks, replace it there. ChatGPT and Claude sign-in is separate.

Questions wedding pros ask

AI, without the science project.

Is Studio an AI app?

No. Studio is wedding software. AI is optional help for three jobs: pasting messy lists (Magic Import), optional vow polish for couples, and connecting ChatGPT or Claude so you can ask about your real weddings.

Do I have to use AI?

No. Magic Import, vow help, and the ChatGPT connection are all optional. You can run every wedding without them.

Can ChatGPT change my ceremony or take a payment?

No. Connected AI can read Studio to help you plan and write. It cannot sign contracts, take payments, edit the ceremony script, or publish anything to a portal.

Which AI apps can I connect?

ChatGPT (Plus, Pro, Team, or Enterprise — not the free plan) and Claude are the paths we recommend. Cursor can use the same Studio link; most officiants do not need that. Gemini is not a supported setup path yet.

Will the couple see my ChatGPT chats?

No. Connecting ChatGPT or Claude is for you in Studio. Vow help stays in each partner’s private vow space. Magic Import stays in your studio until you approve what goes live.

Connect it when you are ready

Copy your Studio link under Settings → AI Assistant. ChatGPT and Claude sign in. Nothing publishes without you.
